Jackie Chan Had A Very Tragic Childhood

Jackie Chan ended up making it huge, however, his upbringing was a tough one. Although Chan is known for violence in his films, this isn’t something he condones. In truth, the actor had a tough time in school, getting bullied on the regular when he was dropped off at school.

“I was beaten almost every day. I never forgot how it felt. I don’t want children to think it’s okay to beat someone up. My parents actually thought they were giving me a better life putting me in that school,” he stated alongside The Free Library.

His home life wasn’t exactly easy either, as his parents could not offer a lot. He was living in poverty, “My father had to eat tofu for two years so he could pay back his friends.”

“My parents were always so worried about feeding me. The priest from the Red Cross brought us food and milk every month.”

Despite the tough past, Chan did not make the same choices in his future, especially when it came to raising his son. “I hate violence. I have never hit my son. There are times when I have wanted to, but I know that type of punishment is not good.”

As it turns out, not all of Chan’s relationships are as positive…

Jackie Chan’s Estranged Daughter Etta Ng Says She Was Left Homeless And Wants Nothing To Do With Her Dad

Reported by People back in 2018, Etta Ng, Jackie Chan’s estranged daughter sent out a message via YouTube alongside girlfriend Andi Autumn. The video has since been removed by YouTube, in the short rant, she spoke about being neglected by everyone and being forced into living a homeless life.

“We’ve been homeless for a month due to our parents. We pretty much slept under a bridge, and other things,” Ng said.

“We’ve gone to the police, we’ve gone to the hospitals, the food banks, the LGBTQ community shelters and all of them just don’t give a s—,” she continued.

“We don’t know what to do at this point,” Ng continued. “We just want to let people know what’s going on because at this point it seems ridiculous that no one can help. I don’t understand.”

Ng would further reveal alongside Express that she never considered Jackie Chan her dad and wants nothing to do with the actor at this point.

“He never existed in my life. I will never regard him as a father. I would not say that he is my dad. I would say, ‘Oh, Jackie Chan, an actor,’” she said.

Fans were very split on the short video rant, with some making mention that his daughter was looking for fame or money. “In an interview his daughter clearly said that she doesn’t want anything to do with him and not see him as a father. But when she need money claim that he is her dad?”

Her mom Elaine seems to think the same…

Former Beauty Queen Elaine Ng Isn’t Helping Her Daughter Either

While married Jackie Chan had a relationship with beauty queen Elaine Ng. Elaine does not seem to be on Etta’s side either, issuing a statement on the matter.

According to mom, the focus should be on finding a job or career, instead of trying to search for fame by releasing a video.

“I feel that if they have no money, they should go find work,” she said. “They shouldn’t film a clip telling others they are broke and who Etta’s father is. People all over the world work hard and don’t rely on someone else’s fame to get money.”

Some tough love by both mom and dad.
