Who Is Shia LaBeouf’s Wife Mia Goth?

Goth is an English model and actress known for her work in films like The Survivalist (2015) and A Cure for Wellness (2016). The 28-year-old started as a model at 14 years old when she was signed by Storm Model Management, the agency that famously discovered Kate Moss and Cara Delevingne.

At 19, after appearing in Vogue and working for major fashion brands, Goth made her film debut in Lars von Trier’s Nymphomaniac (2013) alongside Charlotte Gainsbourg, Willem Dafoe, and then-26-year-old LaBeouf.

Goth and LaBeouf started dating shortly after meeting on set. “Oh, I’ve been in love with every woman I’ve ever worked with,” the Even Stevens alum told GQ in 2008. “But some aren’t available. And then there’s the three-month attention span that actors have, you know, I don’t know if it’s mutual, but I really don’t care. They have to kiss me when ‘action’ gets called, anyway, so I’ll get what I want.”

In 2015, the couple made headlines after a leaked video of their heated argument. “I don’t wanna touch you. I don’t wanna be aggressive,” LaBeouf allegedly told Goth in the footage.

When Did Shia LaBeouf & Mia Goth Get Married?

In March 2016, after four years of dating, Us Weekly confirmed that Goth and LaBeouf were engaged. The two tied the knot in Las Vegas in October that year.

“The plan was for it to be a private deal,” the former child star said of the wedding during an appearance on the Ellen DeGeneres Show. “Part of the package, the King Tut package, you get a livestream for free – [it’s] part of the deal. And I said, ‘Ya know, we don’t really need that as a matter of fact. We’ll just take our private tape. We got our moms there,’ and they said ‘no problem.'”

The Transformers star continued: “We get back home and it’s like, ‘Whoa, hey listen, something changed!’ I [called the church] up and they said somebody pressed the wrong button that sends the video to TMZ. I said, ‘I understood.’ I checked with my girl and she said, ‘Hey, what are you gonna do?’ And ya know, it’s love. We’re proud of it. It was love. [Our] dads couldn’t be there so it was kind of nice to have them there watching in a way.” However, Clark County later tweeted: “Our records show no marriage license for Shia LaBeouf & Mia Goth. A commitment ceremony was performed.”

In 2018, a rep for LaBeouf announced that he and Goth had filed for divorce. They reconciled two years later. In March 2022, they welcomed their first child together, daughter Isabel.

How Shia LaBeouf’s Wife Mia Goth ‘Saved’ His Life

In a recent interview with Jon Bernthal’s REAL ONES podcast, LaBeouf tearfully confessed that his wife “saved” him during his dark times when he checked into rehab in Utah. “She saved my life. She was present for me at a time when I didn’t deserve to have nobody in my life, especially her,” he said of Goth.

He even referred to his wife as “a real one” for showing him “irrational” love in a sense that “it’s the first time I ever really understood love, because I didn’t have nothing to give.” He added: “She gave me hope when I was really running on fumes.”

LaBeouf also called his ex-partner Twigs a “saint” for holding him accountable for his mistakes. “Had she not intervened in my life and not created the avenue for me to experience ego death, I’d either have a really mediocre existence or I’d be dead in full,” he explained. Still, some fans don’t believe that he’s actually changed.
