How Many Of The Kardashians Are Actually Vegan (And What Do They Eat?)

Kim Kardashian and the rest of her K-clan have long proven that they’re among the most influential celebrities around the world, so much so that these reality stars have also gone to launch their successful lifestyle brands. The Kardashians have also figured quite prominently around the conversation regarding plant-based eating as the likes of Ariana Grande, Kate Winslet, and Michelle Pfeiffer swore by the benefits of going vegan.

As for Kim, Kourtney, Khloé, their mom Kris Jenner, and sisters Kylie and Kendall Jenner, it seems unclear where they truly stand when it comes to veganism. No one is even sure who among the sisters has already embraced plant-based eating completely.

Over the years, it’s become clear that the Kardashians love their greens. Throughout their time on Keeping Up, the sisters were frequently seen enjoying a healthy salad bowl from their favorite store, Health Nut. And while they clearly love vegetables, it seems none of the sisters have gone fully vegan just yet.

Kim may be a fan of vegan food, but it may take time for her to embrace plant-based eating completely. While speaking with some fans on Instagram, the reality star explained that she does eat “mostly plant-based. No meat anymore.” Kim is also known to treat herself to a little dairy once in a while, indulging in Starbucks’s white chocolate mocha with whipped cream when she feels like it.

That said, Kim has also managed to convince both Kourtney and Khloé to give vegan a try. Since then, Kourtney has gone “mostly, like 95%” vegan. “She’s been easing into it for the past six to seven months with no meat (and the occasional butter and honey),” Kourtney’s Poosh website explained.

For the eldest Kardashian sister, the key was to ease into going mostly vegan instead of going all-in all at once. “Kourt admits when she first started, she couldn’t resist and had a baked crab handroll while at dinner during the first few weeks,” her website said. “It’s all about balance and finding how and when you’re comfortable with incorporating the changes into your lifestyle.”

On the other hand, Khloé revealed that her pregnancy played a role in convincing her to avoid meat. “Before pregnancy, I really only ate chicken or turkey – no pork, red meat, most fish, lamb, etc…,” the reality star wrote in a blog post for her Khloé Kardashian official app. “But now I find meat absolutely disgusting, LOL.”

Since giving birth, she absolutely can’t stand meat any longer. “Just the sight of it makes me nauseous. So I’ve become somewhat of a vegetarian during pregnancy, but not by choice,” Khloé added.

As for the women’s younger sisters, Kylie and Kendall Jenner, the reality stars have also been seen indulging in salad bowls over the years. The two sisters even took a trip to In-N-Out in a recent episode of The Kardashians. Kylie, who was then pregnant with her second child, even thought about doubling down on her cheeseburger. Meanwhile, it also doesn’t seem like, their mother, Kris Jenner, has gone vegan yet either. That said, everyone’s favorite momager recently invested in Health Nut.

What Kim Kardashian Eats In A Day As A Vegan

Kim has been vocal about embracing plant-based food more, and she’s been experimenting a lot in the kitchen too. Back in 2019, she revealed that is “eating all plant-based when I am home” and she’s even shown off some vegan dishes she’s whipped up so far.

In the past, the reality star revealed that she likes enjoying oatmeal and vegan sausage for breakfast. Kim has also been known to indulge in a vegan McMuffin, chia bowl with fruit, or a sweet potato hash with some avocado.

Meanwhile, Kim has also been known to enjoy falafels with a side of veggies and rice or some pasta with veggies. And for dessert, the reality star is fond of fruits, occasionally enjoying pomegranates that she picks from a tree herself.

Is Kim Kardashian Still Vegan?

These days, it’s safe to say that Kim is mostly eating plant-based food, although it’s unclear if she’s completely given up dairy and other animal products. That said it is also worth noting that the reality star has recently been named a brand ambassador for plant-based meat company Beyond Meat.

In her capacity as their “professional tastemaker,” Kim will be utilizing various Beyond Meat products in her recipes. “I love how all their products not only taste amazing but are also good for me and my family. Plus, my kids are obsessed with my Beyond Beef® taco recipe, the Beyond Burger® for BBQs, and Beyond Chicken® Tenders for a quick snack,” the reality star said in a statement.

“As my fans know, my fridge and freezer are fully stocked with Beyond Meat’s products and I’m so thrilled to be featured in the campaign as its Chief Taste Consultant to inspire people to include Beyond Meat in their diets”
